The Staves- Pine Hollow (Live) review

                 The Staves are one of my favorite bands of all time. Their musician ship is so natural, it seems more than natural. The voices of Emily, Jessica, and Camilla are incredibly soothing and inspiring both together and alone. Pine Hollow is a 6-song EP that The Staves have recorded in Eau Claires, Wisconsin last month in February. The songs include 3 covers and 3 originals. The covers being 'Chicago' by Sufjan Stevens, 'Jolene' by Ray Lamontagne, and 'Something's on your mind' by Dino Valenti.                  Jessica leads the charge on most of these songs, as she usually does. She is also the guitarist of the band, while Camilla may use the ukelele from time to time. What I have noticed about The Staves in the year or so I have been listening to them is that their voices mature and are more and more characterized each time that I listen to them.
