Wet- Don't You Review

'Don't You' is the first studio album by Wet. Wet is a band from Brooklyn, NY whose sound is a fusion of indie rock, electronic, and r&b. 'Don't You' is a very relaxing album with smooth vocals and instruments. All songs are lyrically written from the lead singers point of view, Kelly Zutrau. The band is a three-piece also consisting of Joe Valle and Marty Sulkow. The sound of the album is very atmospheric and peaceful, while the lyrics are emotional, relatable, and engaging.
All of the song titles feel appropriate for the themes of the songs. Each sonf has a different natural feel, some songs reflecting the feel of water, Kelly's lyrics deal most with relationships, the good and the bad. Kelly's vocals hint at a perfect blend of r&b and folk influence, showcasing both sides beautifully. No doubt, this is very much a pop record. Songs like 'All The Ways' are very much upbeat while still keeping it's heart and message. There seems to be a genuineness to Wet that shines through in every song. 'Don't You' is an ear pleaser that is easy to listen to and enjoy with much to gain from.
