August Burns Red- Found In Far Away Places Review

Found in far away places is the seventh studio album from Pennsylvania Metal band August Burns Red. August Burns Red has been in the game for ten plus years and have only seemed to improve their musicality on every record. This album is no exception. Following up on 2013's 'Rescue and Restore', 'Found in far away places' takes their inclusion of all different styles of music to another level. Each song sounds totally unique, proving once again why they stand out from the contemporary metal scene.
Songs like 'Identity' which showcase a surf rock groove which leads to a brutal, uplifting breakdown. This album is not meant to be thrown in someone's face, but can be listened to carefully and appreciated for all the work put into it. Found in far away places is ambitious, heavy, melodic, aggressive and emotional. With August Burns Red, metal just seems to be the canvas on which they can paint their own picture. Each song on this record has it's own identity, and for those who have been long time fans of the band, you will not be disappointed.
